Der Weltkongress für Augenheilkunde 2010 (WOC^® 2010) rückt zunehmend ins Blickfeld. Bereits zum dritten Mal ist die Deutsche Ophthalmologische Gesellschaft Gastgeber dieses größten internationalen Augenärztekongresses. Nach 1888 in Heidelberg und 1966 in München lädt die DOG zusammen mit der AAD nun im Jahr 2010 die Ophthalmologen der ganzen Welt nach Berlin ein. Die deutsche Hauptstadt hat sich im 20. Jahr nach der Wiedervereinigung zu einer der bedeutendsten Metropolen entwickelt und ist damit der ideale Kongressort für den WOC^®2010. Führende Experten unseres Faches werden die neuesten wissenschaftlichen Erkenntnisse und den aktuellen Stand der Forschung in zahlreichen Symposien und Kursen darstellen.

Es wird Subspecialty Days zu den Themen Retina, Glaukom, Katarakt und Refraktive Chirurgie geben. Ein umfassendes Poster- und Filmprogramm wird präsentiert und ist digital jederzeit abrufbar. Lunchsymposien werden von Firmen angeboten. Für deutsche Teilnehmer ist es von besonderem Interesse, dass die beiden nationalen Tagungen DOG und AAD in diesem Jahr unter dem Dach des Weltkongresses stattfinden.

Eine einzigartige Eröffnungsveranstaltung (Opening Ceremony) mit dem akademischen Flair der internationalen Ophthalmologie und einigen spektakulären Programmbestandteilen sollte keinesfalls verpasst werden. Im Anschluss an diese Veranstaltung wird eine Berlin-Party mit typischen Berliner Spezialitäten in Berliner Kulissen stattfinden. This 32nd International Congress of Ophthalmology has an outstanding program, containing top world speakers, and thus the latest in scientific practice, exhibits of the newest ophthalmic drugs and equipment, and representatives from countries throughout the world.
