Abstract
The Virtual Reality Pars plana Vitrectomy DryLab was developed in order to realise evidence-based ophthalmosurgical training. The strategies that ensure reliability and success of retina and vitreous surgery as well as fundamental principles of intraocular surgical interventions in the vitreous body will be trained and tested within
the VRmagic-Vitrectomy simulator.
Experienced colleagues will guide you through targeting strategies, methods of vitreous excision in different retina/vitreous affections, vitreous membrane detachment, as well as the intravitreal application of medication. The simulator will capture a performance profile and your achievements will be evaluated.
